Review: Coffee Cup Overflowing

Before I made the commitment to doing NaNoWriMo in November, I tossed around the idea of going to a few coffee shops and seeing what my city has to offer in terms of cozy working space and good drinks and pastries. Turns out that as soon as I went to one coffee shop . . . I stopped looking and just started going to this one place.

Coffee Cup Overflowing is a small business surrounded by consumerism: Flying J’s, Papa John’s, and Home Depot all within spitting distance of the front door. The shop has a cozy atmosphere accentuated by comfortable furniture, cute décor, and the aroma of fresh-brewed coffee. It’s honestly a miracle that this place exists, in the center of the commercial district of Hamilton, Ohio, across the street from the local office of the Social Security Administration and facing a home improvement store. Their cappuccinos are hot and delicious, the coffee is extremely tasty, and the people are wonderful.

I visited this place four or five times during November to write and work. The windows let in so much light, and it’s truly a relaxing atmosphere to get a lot done. I’m hoping to do even more writing there in the new year!
