I started JoD4HAP with my friend and former classmate Alex G. Friedman. We wanted a space to think critically about and celebrate nerd culture. We focus on tabletop role playing games, real-play podcasts, and nerd fashion.

When we started this project, I didn’t know much about tabletop role playing games. Now, however, I feel a little more experienced — I’ve been playing Pathfinder for several years, and one of my preferred entertainment mediums these days is real-play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Not Another D&D Podcast. JoD4HAP is a way to engage with these kinds of content in an academic way. It’s fun and educational!
