I’m so happy with how it turned out! I’m going to slap this baby on everything!

This is the first step in putting together my business–my very own publishing press. I have done work with several presses in the past, and my forays into the publishing world were publicly documented on this blog, even. All of that experience has been in service to my goal of founding my own small press and learning how that whole process works. There is still so much to learn–but I truly think this is what the trajectory of my life has been building toward, even if it’s only for my own books for now.

The next step, now that I have a name and a logo, is to file paperwork for an LLC and actually start treating my business like a business: work out a budget for expenses, schedule time for business activities, and more.

My inspiration is my partner in crime, Soph, who runs the travel and lifestyle blog Uncultured Palate. She is achieving her dreams and making brand deals and doing all kinds of fun stuff–things that are fulfilling her goals and ambitions. I’m so proud of her!

Seeing her have this success (and fulfillment) is spurring me to try to do the same: chase my dreams, as it were. Wish me luck!
