Come hang out during my co-writing stream!

One of the goals of my Pridecraft campaign was to do a writing co-working stream. My plan is to do a 3-4 hour co-working session where we can chitchat about what we’re working on, how we write, any fun rituals we like to do when we’re writing.

Come write with me!
Where: twitch.tv/katryam
When: wednesday, July 31, 6 pm EST
Plus: Zelda jar raffle!

I’ll be plunking away on my current work in progress, which does not currently have a title. When I open it on my desktop because my computer requires that I give it a name in order to save it to the disk, I click on a folder called Illusions. (The tag “The Illusion Conundrum” on this blog is in reference to this non-title.)

In any case, I’m hoping that co-working is something that will help me get my brain in order about the end of this WIP. I’m getting close to 120,000 words in it, and I feel like I’m nearing the end of the plot of this first novel. There will likely be two in the series. Maaaaaybe three. The plot of the first novel is something I like to call “fantasy fetch quest,” i.e., there are some exciting magical items that the characters have to locate and obtain. The second novel will be a little more about the world and about the history of the major characters… But the point here is that I am ready to hit the home stretch of this first book, and maybe talking about it a little bit with like-minded folks (that’s you!) will help me get my thoughts in order.

It’s a fun story and I’m excited to share it with folks. I’ll once again be self-publishing through my personal imprint, Cultivates Press. But I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Let’s finish it, first.

The other thing I want to do during stream is… the Zelda jar raffle!! That’s right: Since we made it to my goal of $100 raised during the month of June, I can officially raffle off the Zelda jar made by my beautiful best friend pansiepants. Anyone who donated to my campaign throughout PrideCraft (you know who you are!) is eligible to win the raffle.

Join me on Wednesday, July 31, at 6 p.m. EST for the shenanigans! It’ll be a great time!
